With the girl in safe hands, Ming Yue walked around the village, checking up on those she had rescued. She saw the farmer working in the gardens with the villagers, teaching them with a smile. As for the former queen, the young woman was with others, helping around with chores and whatnot.
She seemed to have brightened up quite a bit, chatting and laughing.
Ming Yue smiled and left without greeting them, making her way back to the other side. Closing the door behind her, the cultivator stood in the emptiness of the 5,000th floor.
The smile on her face was gone as she returned to the Divine Citadel.
"I wonder how everyone is doing?"
Seeing the village and the spark of joy reminded her of what was waiting outside. As real as that Cataclysm Battlefield was, it was not her reality.
The cultivator let out a sigh as she stepped back into the first floor.
"Let's just get cleaned up first."
