"I guess I already lost?" Theo looked defeatedly at Kaoru.
"I don't know, if you still decides to pursue that is up to you," Kaoru replied.
He have noticed that Eureka's sensitivity has a limit when it comes to him, that's why he had decided to stay far enough. Theo approached him and asked him for a favor of getting close to Eureka without her noticing him. They just didn't expect to see Raven with her. To add to that he was smiling at her.
"I don't think I can keep on pursuing her now. She had showed me she didn't care and that she won't reciprocate. She had told me in a different way that she would never love me as a man. And seeing this now, I'm really giving up. I'm not a masochist you know. I was the first person to try and console her but in the end was pushed away."
Theo smiled bitterly, he knows his feelings are real, and that is why he also knows that he really is hurt upon this realization.
