Suddenly, Xia Ling felt very upset.

She said to the security officer. "I will give him a bath and prepare something for him to eat. When you've found his family, you can pick him up at my place."
The security officer looked at the dirty child.
The child's eyes were large. Although he looked like he had rolled in the mud, he still looked cute and pitiful. The security officer's heart softened. "Children should be well taken care of. Miss Ye, I'll have to trouble you then."
Xia Ling replied that it was not much trouble and reached out to hold the child's hand. "How about you go with me?"
Joy flashed across the child's face and he nodded vigorously. Looking at his happy expression, Xia Ling's mood improved. She held his chubby hand like she was holding the world.
