Ling Ran returned the liver to the patient's abdominal cavity after slicing off the cancerous cells. He then quickly completed the subsequent steps such as suturing before he carried out the wound packing. Last but not least, he ordered Lu Wenbin to perform abdominal closure.
Lu Wenbin was rather pleasantly surprised. The way whereby abdominal closure was performed differed slightly depending on the position of the incision.
