"Y-yes?" Fen Wén tilted her head in confusion. She didn't understand why Mao Mao suddenly asked whether she was cold or not. Like...out of the blue??
Mao Mao slowed down his speed as he turned around to look at the girl. With a sweet smile on his face illuminated by the candle's light, he spoke, "I wonder if you feel cold…" the young man's voice was a bit faint sounding like a whisper.
Yet for Fen Wén, his voice was as clear as ever. His deep yet childish voice struck her right ear instantly made her face turned red for the n-th time. The girl hurriedly shook her head and said, "N-no I'm not cold, I'm okay, really." Ahe was stuttering as she answered.
Fen Wén just felt very nervous at the moment. No one ever treated her so gently like Mao Mao did, asking her whether she felt cold or not. Somehow it touched her heart. Something felt warm and fuzzy inside even though it was indeed a bit chilly outside.
