One of the assassin went to Li Shi Ying bed while the rest only circled the bed, guarding that one assassin in case of sudden ambush. They had include the possibility of Li Shi Ying owning a hidden guard.

In the evening before Li Shi Ying go to bed, Jiu Wei told Long Ao Zhen that they had experienced assassination attempt from a girl the met before, Meng Yue Ming and this girl just insulted Li Shi Ying in the morning at the guild.
So Jiu Wei was worried that Meng Yue Ming who was defeated verbally by Li Shi Ying previously would launched another assassination attempt.
When Long Ao Zhen heard about it he nearly went to find Meng Yue Ming and killed her if Jiu Wei didn't stop him. In the end the two of them decided to guard Li Shi Ying in her room.
