Chapter 13 - Should I Just Drop

The other students watched their group leave, her four companions had such high numbers. But even she has some special things about her.

Of course the incoming students had been training for this academy, that is why they have knowledge regarding the pureness and specialness of the ability she had just shown.

Talk about her would start spreading in the school after this, that a certain someone who was among the few pf those with number four passed with flying colors because of how special she was.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Astra asked upon noticing the look Shinobu, Takao and Kaname are giving her.

Kaito chuckled while his hands were behind his head, "Well they didn't expect that you are that much special. Told you, you are something else."

"Special? Because my abilities are pure? There are others who had that as well, I've seen some a while ago," she answered, not understanding why they look at her with such amazement.

Was this really something uncommon in here?

Somehow she started not only cursing her companions but even herself for really not studying the ways of the people of the land.

'Maybe I should call for them now? I can't have more people seeing me as special, I want to stay as low profile as possible so that no one would watch my every movement as I do my search for that jerk.'

"Yes, but compared to Shinobu who has the same characteristic as you, the pureness of your powers were at a different level. At the same time the strength you showed a while ago was at number 6 and not at number 4."

"This is all Silvia and Hiro's fault. Now I became special," she complained with a huff, she wanted to hit her forehead, she thought she held back more than enough. Yet even that was still not enough.

"Silvia? Hiro?" Kaname asked upon hearing her words.

"My companions, they didn't train me before I came here," she replied.

For the other four, they didn't train her and she was complaining because she didn't know she was special.

For her, they didn't train her and now she didn't know how strong the different numbers must be.

"Dear, you are the one who didn't want to know. We all told you that you also need to understand the strength of the people of the land, in preparation for when you visit. But you vehemently said that you didn't need it for you have no plans of visiting," would be her companions words once they hear her complains.

"Since that's over and you have passed, shall we eat somewhere? As celebration and since I am also getting hungry already," Kaito suggested.

After finding a restaurant and getting their order. All through out their meal, the group started asking her why she was really here. She didn't look like she had plans of entering the academy in the first place.

Where she came from and such questions people would normally ask those whom they met for the first time.

"So you came here to look for one of your companions," Kaname asked.

"Yes, I don't know how they came up with this arrangement but among us thirteen companions I was sent to look for the fourteenth. Though I do wish I could find him already and go back, the crowd is truly killing me."

As she said this, she was looking at the people walking by like they did something wrong to her. The others found this amusing and couldn't help but to chuckle and smile.

"Are you an orphan?" Takao couldn't help but ask upon hearing her words.

"Something like that, we all lived in a mansion together. But one of our companions who went to travel lost contact with us. So here I am searching for him."

"Do you have his name? Or how he looks like?" Shinobu asked.

"No."

For the third time in the day, their group looked at her agape.

Kaito started laughing so hard, this was truly something. She came here against her will but she has no idea who she was looking for at all.

"Isn't this a bit too much of work for someone like you who hated the crowd? Must you look for him in every person out there?" he then asked which gave him a slap in the arm.

"Hey, that hurts," he complained but Astra just glared at him.

"You lived in the same house, you've been together for a while. You were the one who was sent to search for him. But you don't even know what he looks like or his name?" Shinobu then asked her flabbergasted.

They didn't know whether to laugh or cry at her randomness. Though Kaito already laughed at it gaining a painful slap from her.

Astra didn't reply and just shrugged. She didn't lie to them at the very least.

"But you have a way of finding him?" seeing as she just shrugged, Kaito finally asked seriously.

"I have."

Though her way was not working at all, no matter how much she expand her presence, she really couldn't get ahold of him.

'Could he be in a deeper trouble than we thought? Maybe he had lost his memory or something? But then how did he live in this land after hundreds of years?'

If she was alone, she would have messed with her hair as she ponder over these things, how troublesome. How truly troublesome it is that the first time she came down here was for this mission.

If she just knew, then she wouldn't have neglected her studies on people of the land and focused dearly on them. Then her plan of having a normal life would have been better and achievable.

She already had a bad feeling that once she arrives at the academy, her class would be different than what she truly wanted to have.

'Should I just drop?'

"No can do. What do you mean should you just drop? Are you aware that you just passed the entrance exam? Who would want to drop after passing the entrance exam of the most prestigious academy of this land?"

Suddenly Kaname answered her.

'Did I just say that out loud?' she thought before giving Kaname an uncertain smile.
