The students were panting hard, Hiro already lessened the task at hand but it was still inhumane.
Astra just glanced at her classmates before looking at Hiro who was triumphantly looking at his students.
'What are you our classmate?' Astra asked in her mind as she stared at Hiro with disbelief.
She never thought that Hiro was this childish, he only knew that he loves moving around the house messing with everyone but now that she can see him with literally younger ones, she finally knew that he was just plainly a childish person.
"I'm dying," Kaname said as she lay down on the grass.
Followed by Takao and even Shinobu, the training was turned into half but this was truly still a very tiring thing.
Kaito silently lay down beside them which is uncommon.
She looked at him and she could see that he was in deep thought so she sat down beside him.
"What is it?"
She actually saw it, Kaito tried what she told them yesterday and it may not be too prolonged but he was able to do it.
"It was truly difficult but somehow I felt closer with my ability, I wonder why?" he asked before sitting down.
She nodded her head, "That is because it is becoming more a part of you than before. It will no longer stay as a tool you use for battles and all but started becoming a part of you."
"You tried doing it as well?" Shinobu who heard them sat up and asked.
"I also did, though I only did until the fifth hurdle and I already felt like I was about to collapse," Takao sat as well and said.
"I only reached till the tenth hurdle," Shinobu also said.
"You guys are already amazing enough, I didn't dare try and look at me now. I really am tired about to collapse," Kaname didn't sit down and remained lying down.
Kaito looked at them and just laughed but didn't say anything, there are times that even though Shinobu was among the special ones. Kaito would find himself doing something even Shinobu couldn't.
Astra saw this and deduced that he must have experienced this a lot with his friends.
Kaito actually used his wind for a whole three rounds meaning 60 hurdles.
"Okay everyone, there are barely half of you who finished it today that means deduction for those who didn't. Please do remember as well, something the principal reminded me."
He looked at the students while checking the names.
"Those who were at the top after this the first term will be given five tubes of essences. One less for the second and so one until the fifth."
These tubes were the size of test tubes used in laboratories and five of it allows those who are in the number 6 to 8 to improve tremendously.
Ten of it would allow one to raise one level on the specific element.
"You will surely level up Astra, it already has good result to those in number 6, what more for you? No one can bully you any longer, you were among the top for our two subjects anyway," Kaname finally sat up and exclaimed.
Astra just smiled.
They have six subjects in total and obviously Astra who was lazy wouldn't become the top of each and every subject.
Plus she don't need those essences for she can't level up.
That is the only thing that their bodies wouldn't be able to do. To level up their numbers are clearly impossible for this was an artificial body.
Kaito noticed this and thought about the strength she inevitably showed him back then, if she were indeed from a very high number, those little essences are clearly not for her.
"Anyway," he jumped up and stood up.
"We have our goal remember," he said looking at the other three.
Takao grinned before standing up as well, "Indeed, if we get the chance to go there then improving our strengths are no longer an issue."
Astra tilted her head to the side, she can't understand what they are talking about right now.
Shinobu stood up and smiled gently, "You don't know about it but yearly there would be an intra school competition. Of course first years can attend though they would end up battling with third years."
"But if a team were to win in this competition, they will be the representative of their school to attend the inter school competition in the central land."
When the central land was mentioned, Astra finally remembered that there was indeed such a thing that the people of the land had been doing for a few hundred years now.
A competition at the Central land that was never used for development. And if it was then it would be on a minimal basis. Only for the purpose of improving the competition itself.
Those who won in the competition would be given a year to spend in the Central Land to absorb essences and the school would gain more popularity towards the in coming students.
"You guys are planning to join that?" she asked just as Hiro dismissed them.
"We, that includes you, will be joining it," Kaito grinned at her.
She raised an eyebrow before squinting her eyes, "You pulled me along just for this?!?"
She hit him hard in the back as she said this, despite the pain Kaito laughed and started running away from her.
"At first but we still want to befriend you in the end," he answered as he kept running.
"You get back here and let me hit you more," she instead said.
Though she indeed came to school in order to find that jerk, being pulled because of an ulterior motive.
Kaito laughed as he kept running, "Spare me please spare me."
The other three laughed at the two of them, Kaito wouldn't pull someone to become their teammate if he didn't like the person and if that person is just a random one.
He must have felt a connection or something for him to actually consider her as a teammate when he met her.
Astra may look annoyed but they can see that she truly was not mad.
Hiro who was watching them felt amused seeing that Astra was acting like a normal 16 year old one.
'I guess this should be her real first time enjoying herself in such a manner. Sending her was truly a good thing,' as he thought this he remembered something.
He still didn't get an answer to the question he once had, 'Why did their predecessor's artificial body die just because they love the land so much?'
Plus he haven't seen any record of something about that in the history of the land.
He can bet on the ones in here but that was tens of thousands of years ago already. Would there still be a record?
