I had guessed it right.
That moon is something of a beacon and gatherer. It will absorb the Grimm energies that its body creates and the beacon to absorb the bloodline energies from the source.
It does and purifies these energies before sending them to the core, which is a pure inheritance core.
It is doing just that right with an essence rose.
It absorbs the energies from it and purifies them before sending the stream into the core. The core is absorbing it without any problem.
If I am right, this corrupted, eats the Grimms whole. Though not flesh, but their essences.
If not, there is no way it would have absorbed the energies from the essence rose. Which is made from the essence of the Grimms.
That moon is artificial, like the core and now I have seen what it could do. I want it; I want its schematics.
