"Move on, huh?" Leo let out a chuckle. She made it sound like it was as easy doing it as saying the words. "You think that one could move on just because he has been told to do so? I have loved you for more than ten years, and you think that I could just simply move on?"
Shera would have already walked out on him, but she wanted to get this over with once and for all. She didn't want this topic to keep coming up, so the best thing to do now was to end it there.
"Hanging by a thread of nonexistent hope is much worse," she said sternly. "You have already wasted all those years of your life. Do you want to waste the rest of your life?"
Leo studied her face, and when he realized that she was serious, he shook his head. "I did not waste my time. If you still think that I wasted it, then I'm ready to waste the rest of my life as well."
