Leo was flabbergasted. What an unexpected twist! But then again, there was nothing predictable about Shera.
"When did you find out?" He tried to probe.
"Many years ago." She responded vaguely. To be exact, she had found all the relevant information she needed about a year after she started searching. She was only nineteen years old at the time, and Mia was a young teenager, so she didn't dare to approach her.
The man's face scrunched up slightly. "Since you found out many years ago… why did you say she was dead?" Besides, why was she seeking revenge for the 'death' of someone alive?
She shot him a look of disgust when she comprehended his unspoken question that was obvious from his probing look. "My sister suffered for so long. Even though she's alive, it doesn't erase all those things that were done to her—none of which she deserved. She was just a child!" She calmed herself before she could erupt. "Then there's the rest of my family."
