The next morning, Shera woke up to the enticing aroma of freshly baked baguettes. She dragged her body out of bed and headed for the kitchen, almost drooling when she saw him pulling the baguette pan out of the oven and setting it on the kitchen island.
The man peeked over his shoulder when he heard the kitchen door open, and when he saw her walk in, he pulled the mittens off his hands with a gentle smile. "Good morning, my love."
Seeing that he was holding out his hands for a hug, she launched herself into his arms. "Morning."
"Do you want to help me cook breakfast?" He looked down at her and pecked her forehead.
Hearing his question, she burrowed into his chest lazily. "Can I not? Too tired."
"Lazy bum." He laughed, spanking her backside. "Why did I even fall for you?"
"Surely it's because of my beauty?"
