Leo and Shera arrived just as the host welcomed the CEO for the opening speech. She kissed his cheek, whispered "good luck", and then let him go onto the stage. Silence filled the banquet hall.
"Good evening. Thank you to each and every one of you for being with us today…" He started.
"Wait. What the heck?!" Someone muttered a silent curse, but it was not so silent thanks to the hushed atmosphere.
Shera smiled in the direction of the voice. 'I thought he would not make it.'
"What the hell is he doing up there?" Julius asked his assistant, trying not to sound too loud.
The man disappeared for a moment and returned with a solemn look on his face. "He is the CEO of Lance Conglomerate."
For some reason, Julius was not entirely shocked. This was his son, after all. He was full of surprises.
