"Shut up and come here." Santino ordered, on the verge of losing his temper.
The girl was innocent, so she didn't realize the impact of her words. She was just stating what she wanted, after all. When she heard his stern words, she paused, looking at him curiously. "Daddy, why can't I stay with Leo?"
He closed in and grabbed her little hand, looking at her strictly. "Why would you want to stay with trash? I don't care what this treacherous man has said to you but keep this in mind: You are a Santino. Worthless people of his sort are not worth your time."
He has spoken a string of hurtful words as though the "man" he was talking about was not within earshot. Or rather, all those words were meant for Leo's ears.
He then glared at Leo. "Since you love kids so much, have some of your own and stop bothering other people's children."
