Chapter 6 - She’s Good With The Kids

Scoffing, Victoria almost laughs when she heard 'Rochester' name. How dumb is her son is? That girl is the one who makes Raymond like this! How dare he want to bring that wench into this family!

"Rochester?" She looks at her son's face with a bit enraged in her heart. "I decline." She said with firm and cold.

"Mother, she's the only one who can love our Raymond."

"Love? Have you forgotten? She's the one who makes your son like this!" Victoria's word makes both of them silent.

It's true, but there is also another reason why this is happening. Their intel reported that they both had a fight before the accident happen. But that isn't because of Sarah either. A drunk driver runs into his son's bike who chasing Sarah's car and before he knew it, Sarah already aboard the plane when he was sent to the hospital. She doesn't know about his condition at all.

"Mother-"

"I still held a majority shares in the Wayne Industries. I've decided it is time for me to retire and have a peaceful life now. I can give you some of my shares, but, let me decide whom he will marry. If not, I don't mind either to call out the media here. Let them know you have a 'special' son. Let the world know. After all, what's so wrong to have a 'special' son, right?" Victoria uses her last card. Threatening her son.

James sighing. Dealing with his mom is a lot harder than dealing with his dad. He thought that his dad is the only persistent in this family, but who would have thought that his mother is more persistent than his father.

Rather than the world knows about Raymond's condition, it's better to let him marry with his mother's choice. Raymond in a state where he can't love anybody right now, there is no way that girl will able to endure the torture from him. So, why not? Let show to this old lady, who knows his son better.

"Fine. But, the marriage must be known between the family only." James finally agrees with her mother's plan. 'You won't be live for too long after all.'

Barbara gasp. "Dear!"

"We'll talk about this later," He pats on his wife's hand before he looks at his mother again. "We'll hold the ceremony in this town's church next month. Please find a suitable wife for my son."

"Consider it done," Victoria said with a firm voice too. Now, she already had the upper hand, the next thing is…how does she want to make her marry her grandson?

Ding Ling!

"Welcome."

"Oh! Ms. Luna. How nice to see you here." Victoria smile when she saw the beautiful lady greet her. Her glowing aura makes Victoria's gleeful.

"Nice to see you too, ma'am. What would you like to order?" She smiles at the old lady in her nice, elegant clothes. Perfectly fit for her image even though in her sixties.

She is now working as a part-timer in the cafe near the town. As the summer break still went on, she decided to work and get some money for her college fees.

"Well, Ms. Luna, there's a small problem." She pressed her lips while looking at the menu board behind the counter. Her eyebrow knit together before she continues again. "This is actually my first time coming here, and I don't know which one is the good choice either."

Luna smile to hear that, she then looks at the menu board behind her and says. "How about I pick something that you would love it?"

"Oh? That sounds good. I am an old lady who doesn't know about this youngster food, I hope I don't trouble you, Ms. Luna."

"Oh no. No trouble at all, ma'am." She went to the table beside the cash counter and start to make a sandwich for Victoria.

"Is there anything in the selection here that you're allergic to?" She looks at the fresh salad and meat selection before she looks at the lady back.

"No."

In less than five minutes, Luna finished wrapping her sandwich and make her coffee.

"Alright, here is your sandwich ma'am. Enjoy the coffee while it still hot." She handed the sandwich to the lady and a cup of venti size hot coffee.

"How much is it?"

"Oh don't worry about it, it's on the house."

"But-"

"I don't take money from the elderly, ma'am. Please, enjoy your sandwich." She gently pats on her hand and smiles warmingly.

Victoria then looks at the girl beside Luna behind the counter, she also smiles at her. "Don't worry ma'am. Luna is always like this to the elderly and the kids in this town too. She's like an angel."

"Carla." Luna nudges her arm a bit. Feeling a bit embarrassed when she said that she's like an angel. What an angel? It just her way to show her love to humanity. Nothing more than that.

"I'm glad that I found this angel then." Victoria takes the sandwich from her hand and the coffee on the tables before she smiles contently to both of the girls. She is now sure that she wants her to be in her family.

She's good at handling the elder, and her friend also said that she's good with the kids. This might be useful in the future.

Climb inside the car, she opens the sandwich wrap paper and glances at her bodyguard before she eats it.

"Find information about Luna Robert. Everything about her. And have someone to tail her from afar. I need a full observation of her for a week."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Hey, Luna, how do you know that old lady?" Carla starts questioning her.

"Huh? Which one?" She was doing the cleaning duty when Carla ask her that question.

"You know, the one who came to this shop in the afternoon. She looks like a rich lady."

"Oh, that ma'am? Yeah, I've met her before." She replies casually.

"When? Who is she anyway?"

"I'm not sure. I just met her around a week ago? I think. She almost got hit by the cyclist at the walkway in front of this store. Lucky I just finished my shift that time."

"Oh..is that so? I thought I saw her at the party that day. But maybe I was wrong." Carla shrugged her shoulder and continue to mop the floor. It is now the closing time before they both went home.
