The onlookers did not notice the smile on mistress Li Xiaojing's face when the ex-couple said they wanted a divorce.
Lu Yuxi, however, saw it clearly.
Lao Min had never thought that the man who once said he would protect and love her would eventually treat her like this. She regretted it so much. Why did she fall for such a scumbag?
The allegedly heartless Su Quan took another glance at his wife and child being mistreated and almost felt a bit of remorse. He tried to explain but was cut short.

Li Xiaojing clutched her stomach and cried.

Lu Yuxi observed Li Xiaojing. She didn't expect this woman to be so ruthless and expertly managed to throw all the blame on Lao Min.
Sure enough, when Su Quan saw that his sweetheart and his unborn child were in trouble, his eyes turned red with anger.
He pointed at Lao Min and said, "You b*tch. It's fine that you didn't give me a son for nine years, but now you want to kill my child too? If anything happens to my son, I won't let you get away. Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow; I want a divorce."

Lu Yuxi did not care about him. She turned her gaze to Li Xiaojing and asked,
"Miss, how many months has it been?"
Li Xiaojing looked at Lu Yuxi's discerning eyes.
She answered timidly, "Six...around six months."
The crowd was very puzzled. They wanted to know why Lu Yuxi asked that question. What was the point of asking that question?
Lu Yuxi ignored the surrounding murmurs from the crowd and continued to ask, "Miss Li, you said you're pregnant, but why don't you look fat at all? You are showing no signs of pregnancy for someone entering her third trimester."
Li Xiaojing did not expect her to ask this question. She explained in a fluster, "I had a good figure before pregnancy. Can't I maintain that even until now?"

"As we all know, some people will have swelling in their legs during the later stages of pregnancy. Then again, even if there is no swelling experienced, most pregnant women walk differently."

Then, she pulled Su Quan with her hand, indicating for him to leave quickly.
Lu Yuxi continued to say something shocking, "You're not pregnant at all, am I right?"
Su Quan also looked at Li Xiaojing with some confusion, as if he felt that what Lu Yuxi said made sense. He only knew that Li Xiaojing was pregnant from what she told him, but he never bothered to verify the news. Every time he wanted to look or touch her stomach, she always changed the topic.
Li Xiaojing saw Su Quan's unbelieving eyes and everyone's disdainful looks. She became even more flustered and wanted to leave the place immediately.
"Quan, I really have a stomachache. Do you not want to have a baby anymore?" Li Xiaojing asked as she held Su Quan's hand.
When Su Quan heard this, he chose to believe his woman over Lu Yuxi's one-sided words. He took Li Xiaojing to the hospital for a checkup.
However, Lu Yuxi was not so quick to give up. "Why are you running away? Are you afraid to verify the pregnancy?" she asked.
Li Xiaojing turned her head and snarled, "I know if I am pregnant or not. Who are you anyways to be the judge of this, and why do you care so much?"
Lu Yuxi sneered. As expected, the mistress still felt guilty. As long as she continued to attack, Li Xiaojing would eventually expose herself.
"It doesn't matter who I am. But you, do you dare go to the toilet with me and let me take a look at your stomach?"
Li Xiaojing's hand that was holding Su Quan trembled slightly. She did not know how to reply. She only wanted to cheat Su Quan of some money. She did not expect that there would be this much trouble.
Li Xiaojing clutched her bag. Her fingers slowly became white from gripping her bag too tightly.

The discussion among the crowd ended after a while.
Lu Yuxi quickly helped Lao Min up from the ground. She carried the little girl and brought Lao Min to the VIP lounge of the shopping mall.
Lu Yuxi ordered two glasses of juice for the mother and daughter. The child was smiling and drinking happily. She completely forgot about what had just happened. The little girl was indeed still a child and quickly forgot the problems that just occurred. Adults, however, were not so quick to move on.

Lu Yuxi replied, "Of course not. I don't like it when there is an injustice being served."
