Joshua looked at the time and his hands on the laptop started running faster than before. It was close to nine at night and yet, here he was, in his office, working his ass off.
Reason: Ivy.
Joshua sighed and recalled the threat he had received early in the morning, just when he was about to tell her that he had taken a day off from work. Ivy had forced him out of the mansion before he could sneak in for a kiss and had closed the door on him. Then, he had received her text which clearly stated that if he were to return home before eleven, he'd be sleeping in the guest room forever.
Having no other choice, Joshua had reluctantly and with a somber mood driven to work, silently crying to himself for not getting any birthday wish from Ivy.
