Vy slowly opened her eyes. It took her a while to readjust to the sunlight in the room. As she sat up on the bed, she looked around to find her surroundings completely unfamiliar. Aether materialised on Vy's wrist.
He slithered onto her lap, trying to make sense of what had happened to the both of them.
-What… happened?- he asked as he looked up to Vy.
Before she could reply to him, the door to the room creaked open. A familiar face walked in. Vy was apprehensive at first, she flinched when she heard the door open. But when she saw that it was Yulva, she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Ah, you're awake," Yulva commented with glee.
She placed a wooden tray on the side table and brought Vy a glass of water. Her throat was parched for a long time, so she welcomed the glass of water. Yulva explained that Vy had lost consciousness after she touched the phoenix pendant.
