Matthew Xi stared down at her. Emotions were as usual absent on his front as he blinked his eyes. He wasn't kidding when he offered to drive her home for their sake. Yet, she was using it to tease him.
On the second thought, Matthew Xi perceived that Zoey might also just using this trick for him to scram. Hence, he remained quiet while staring at her without a word.
"Okay...! I won't tease." After some time, Zoey rolled her eyes before she crawled to the front passenger seat. She expected that he would get mad and leave, yet he didn't.
Instead, he remained cool despite the lack of expression. Surely, Matthew Xi wasn't any ordinary Romeo. He somehow figured her antics. What a smart man.
Matthew Xi watched her crawl to the other seat before he hitched inside. Without a word, he started the engine and began maneuvering the vehicle.
Glancing to his side, he spoke. "Seatbelt."
"Don't wanna." Zoey refused as she reclined the seat. "It'll be hard to nap..." she explained.
