"Oh my goodness! He is so handsome" The youngest young mistress, Mei Jiaying exclaimed as she watched the news together with her parents and elder sister Mei Rong in the sitting room one afternoon. It was Saturday so everyone was in the house.
"I didn't know President Wang had a grown grandson" Jiaying said while looking at Rong.
"He has two actually. Wang Yun, 29 years old and Wang Jinhai 24." Rong answered.
"But what about President Wang's son? Why did he make his grandson the vice Chairman instead?" Jiaying asked curiously. She was always the curious one out of everyone in the family.
"I think father should answer that." Rong said while looking at their father.
"President Wang's biological son died many years ago. The new vice president's current father is not the biological father of himself and the other younger son." He informed them.
"Really? But his current father is a Wang... isn't his name Wang Chuanli?" Mother Mei asked the same question Rong was about to ask.
"That was merely a coincidence."
"So Wang Chuanli is just a director while his stepson is the Vice president? That's pretty harsh." Rong said.
Chairman Mei shot her a glare. "You should have already known little details like this by now. Is this how you plan to take over the Mei Corporation?" He asked her making, her shift uncomfortably.
"I'm sorry father. I'll fix that" She said and returned her attention to the TV to look at the image of the pretty man who was now a vice president. She agreed with her younger sister. The man was really handsome and her type in fact.

"And here comes the Vice president!" Wang Jinhai said excitedly before popping a bottle of wine.
Yun chuckled lightly. "I hope you're not expecting the maids to clean up this mess you just made." He said as he looked at the wet floor.
"That's why they are being paid." Jinhai answered with a shrug.
"Where is father?" Yun asked as he looked around. Neither his mother nor father was anywhere in sight.
"He hasn't returned. He must be heartbroken after thinking he would end up becoming the vice chairman."
"Don't say things like that." Yun frowned at him.
"Now you're going to act like you like him?"
"Just don't say things like that around the house."
"Whatever you say big bro. Remember you owe me a favor after the other time?"
Yun looked at him with raised brow. "What is it?"
Jinhai grinned as he said. "Let's go party."
"No way! You know I can't do that" Yun said shaking his head.
"What? The vice chairman is too big to party with his subordinate?" Jinhai asked with a mock bow making Yun chuckle.
"Get out of here. You know that wasn't what I meant" Yun said making Jinhai join in his laughter.
"Whatever man. let's go celebrate your new position. Tomorrow you can go back to your cool self"

Lijuan didn't come out of her room until it was time for dinner. Although she would have preferred if they brought her food to her room, but that was never going to happen as far as she remained in the Mei's Family house.
"I thought about it..." Jiaying began to speak as she turned to look at her father.
"Why don't we merge families with the Wangs?"
Everyone paused to look at her save for Lijuan who continued eating like nothing in the world concerned her.
"What's with the strange faces? It always happens like that in the movies and novels. Arranged marriages, merging companies... and all." Jiaying continued when she noticed the look they were all giving her.
"How do you mean?" Chairman Mei asked after glancing at his wife.
"They have young sons. I checked both of them online and found that the youngest son is also very good looking and just a year older than me while the eldest is two years older than sister Rong... I could either marry Wang Jinhai or sister Rong can marry Wang Yun." She said excitedly. Her words made Rong blush but she feigned indifference.
"Do not say silly things like that." Rong said and continued to eat.
"Why didn't you mention your sister Lijuan?" Mother Mei asked, causing Jiaying to chew her lips.
"I really don't think Lijuan should consider getting married. She would drag this family's name to the mud." Rong answered before sipping a glass of juice but before their mother could say anything, Lijuna raised her head to look at her with a frown.
"Are you crazy?" Lijuan asked, shocking all of them.
"Mei Lijuan! How can you talk to your elder sister like that?" Chairman Mei barked at her after the shock subsided.
"What is wrong with you Mei Lijuan? Apologize to your elder sister immediately" Her mother said harshly.
"I was only asking her a question." Lijuan said with an innocent look on her face. "She could have just answered with a yes or no." She muttered before stabbing a piece of beef with her fork and chewed on it.
Rong's face burned with anger. She shot Lijuan another deadly glare before standing up from the table with Jiaying running after her.
"Go and apologize to your sister immediately!" Chairman Mei barked at her.
"No I won't! How many times have you ever asked Jiaying to apologise to me when she is rude to me? Oh what? Because I pick things and that automatically made me lose my birthright? I simply asked her a question which she obviously refused to answer you want me to apologise?" Lijuan asked her father angrily.
"What has come over you Lijuan?" Mother Mei asked in shock. This was so unlike Lijuan who usually said nothing.
"Nothing Mother. I'm tired of having everyone treat me like I am trash. This is the last time I'll allow anyone treat me that way." Lijuan said rising up from her seat to leave.
Her parents were still looking at her in shock when she turned... "And yes, tell your daughter's I'm going to get married before them, and to an influential family too."
"Oh! And thanks for the meal." She added as an afterthought before walking away, leaving her parents stupefied.
When she got to the stairs, she saw Rong and Jiaying standing there. She was very sure they had both heard her.
"Are you going to move or do I have to push you out and later apologize?" She asked Rong with a frown.
"You've grown wings Mei Lijuan." Rong said as she looked at her with an ugly frown.
"I know. And I'm going to use them to fly higher than all of you and flap it in your face." She said before brushing past them.

Lijuan waited inside her room till she was sure her parents had returned to the bedroom and snuck out of her room with a backpack draped on her shoulder.
"Where are you going to?" Jackie asked in a whisper when he joined her outside.
"Lets go clubbing." She said with a big smile on her face.
"That's not a good idea" Jackie said shaking his head.
"C'mon Jackie, don't be such a bore! I've had a bad dinner, I really need to cheer up." Lijuan said making a cute face at Jackie.
"We won't be out for long. Two hours and we are back" Jackie said reluctantly.
"Make it four please" Lijuan said blinking her eyes rapidly.
"Three." Jackie said with a firm voice.
"One would think you were my boss and not the other way round. Fine then. Three hours should be good enough to party" Lijuan said happily.
