To speak with Laurence in private, Kylie insisted that Dinah wait for her in the car until she was ready for her. At that point, she would contact her guard by cell phone. She hadn't expected it when she walked through the doors to find Ken sweeping the floors.
"What are you doing here?!" Kylie wondered.
Ken lifted his broom and said, "My love, isn't it clear? I'm doing housework."
Kylie rolled her eyes and asked him who had asked him to do the housework.
"I did," Laurence chuckled as he walked out from the bedroom that he'd been in. "Is it a problem?"
There was a kindness in Laurence's eyes that she wasn't used to, and it made her nervous. She looked around, and when she noticed that there wasn't any furniture, she said, "Where is the furniture? Faith was supposed to have it delivered yesterday…"
"Oh, that," Laurence replied. "Faith said that she was busy yesterday, and someone would bring it by as soon as possible."
