The moment Kylie heard Fannie's voice on the phone, she said, "Fannie, you told me that Ethan was sick. What was his illness?"
At first, Fannie said nothing, but Kylie urged her. "Fannie," she said, "I am worried about him. I need to know what you know!"
Again there was no reply, and Kylie was about to scream, but then she heard the soft sound of Fannie's snoring. Kylie chuckled and shouted, "Fannie, Fannie, Fannie! Wake up, you little bitch!"
Fannie awoke with a start, and she said, "Oh, Kylie? What's up? It's way past midnight. It's almost morning!"
"If Ethan is sick," Kylie snapped, "then I need to know what's wrong with him!"
