Once Nina was gone, Kylie turned to Elizabeth and said, "You must be careful here and stay at the hotel for now. I'll soon be back."
"Kylie, are you going outside alone?" Elizabeth wondered with a worried tone of voice.
"Lucas is with me," Kylie replied. "We're going to meet an old friend. I'll be fine."
Elizabeth looked at Kylie curiously, but she nodded and said no more.
Lucas was waiting for her on the street with a car he'd rented, and once Kylie was inside, she showed him a map on her phone and pointed out where she wanted to go. Lucas gave the map a quick glance and began to drive. They were only on the road for a short time, though, when Lucas looked over at Kylie and said, "We're being followed."
Kylie looked behind them and saw a Volkswagen. "I saw them when we first got off the boat," she admitted, "but I'm not worried. If they want to harm us, they would have done it already."
