Chapter 16 - You Should Knock First, Secretary Han

Han Seoyeon looked at file she had tidied and nodded. "Yes, the previous secretary wrote it very easily for other's to remember. So I'm thankful for his neat work."

"Woah, I don't think I can read all of that even in a day. You're really amazing Secretary Han." Kang Taehee spoke heartedly.

Lee Sunny closes her hand mirror, shrugging her shoulder. "That's normal isn't it? As the CEO secretary if she can't do this much, she would be fire immediately. You perhaps doesn't know this, Secretary Han, but the CEO hates people who can't work the most." Lee Sunny reminded.

One could say Lee Sunny was a person with a strong personality but Han Seoyeon saw her as a person who was only too blunt with her words. "Thank you for the reminder Ms. Lee."

"It fine if you understand it." Lee Sunny waved her hand. "The CEO is still inside, right?"

"Yes. The CEO's schedule for today is empty until nine o'clock." Han Seoyeon added.

"Then what will we all be waiting for? Let's go!" Lee Sunny said but the three people still rooted on their places.

"Ms. Lee, you can go in first." Kang Taehee said.

Lee Sunny took a glance at the door before turning to Sul Insu. "Mr. Sul, I'm fine for today, you can go in first."

Sul Insu immediately faltered, pushing his glasses frame he refused her words. "I would be fine entering after you two."

"Then go first, Mr. Kang." Lee Sunny forced a glare competition toward him.

"I would refuse!" Kang Taehee still hold firm on his words.

The scene made Han Seoyeon to inclined her head to the side. From how the behaved, it would seem the three people doesn't want to enter Jung Hwa's office first. But why are they scared to enter Jung Hwa's office? If they could take on his narcissistic remarks, surely nothing bad would happen, right?

"Should I open the door for you?" Han Seoyeon asked and the three people glanced at each other. "No, you see the CEO often take a light nap like a cat in his office and he always had a very horrible mood when he just woke up. If someone mistakenly enter, well- you know." He laughed awkwardly. "Anyway, no problem I will go first." Kang Taehee gulped, making a cross before opening the door. Seeing Jung Hwa's sitting on his desk, the three people exhaled a sigh together.

"I'm lucky today!" Han Seoyeon heard Kang Taehee spoke and the other nodding happily.

"It seems we won the gamble today."

Gamble? Think about it, Han Seoyeon recalled something that she read from the file and made a conclusion from Kang Taehee words. Jung Hwa has a low blood pressure thus when he woke up, he would usually become cranky. Perhaps, they feared the CEO was sleeping and woke him up by chance when they knocked on the door? Thinking such, Han Seoyeon pulled a small notebook and wrote a point.

'Everyone wouldn't want to enter the office when the CEO is sleeping.' She noted down.

When the clock struck to eight, Han Seoyeon packed up the things that she brought and waited for Jung Hwa's to come him first as it would be unbecoming for the subordinate to come home before the superior. When she saw him walking out with a languid expression, he noticed her and rose one of his brow. "Secretary Han, you are still here?"

"Yes, CEO. What can I help you with?" She startled for a moment, still couldn't forget that she had thrown water to her own boss.

Jung Hwa raises a hand. "No need. I will still be staying at the office, you could go home for today." He stated and turned back his body toward the door before stopping and added to Han Seoyeon. "Also, Secretary Han, have you finished studying what you have to do as my secretary?"

"Yes, CEO. I have studied the basics informations regarding my works and your schedule."

"Good." Jung Hwa said with a smile. "In case you forgot it, I will remind you that being my secretary would be hard. I'm a person who doesn't give others second chance so you have to work as hard as your salary."

Does he has to warn her this? She knew how well he love sticking to his so called principles! Nonetheless she replied formally. "Yes, CEO."

"Next time bring me my tea earlier, you know the timings don't you?"

"Of course. Seven o'clock, three o'clock, and six o'clock." Also, red tea is his favorite and it must be accompanied with three Japanese sweets from Q Hotel, she had learned this much from the files that she read.

Hearing her through information Jung Hwa had a satisfied expression from her words. "Tomorrow you will be going with me as my scheduled times. Don't do any mistakes." He warned yet his voice wasn't as stern as one would imagine.

"Thank you for your reminder, CEO."

"That's it, you can go home now, Secretary Han." Jung Hwa nodded at something before closing the door after entering his office.

Although Han Seoyeon marked him as a haughty person, he was a rather logical person. That day, Han Seoyeon studied more of Jung Hwa, what kind of person he was and how his personality was almost the opposite of their first meeting.

After exiting the building, Han Seoyeon stood at the bus station to recall that she had to organize her email. Thinking that, she rummage her purse to see that her phone wasn't there. "Huh? Where is my phone?"

She asked herself and comb through her memory, remembering that she forgot her phone at the secretary desk. She slapped her forehead. "How can I forget that? I have to call Seulgi too." She had to discussed her friend of how Jung Hwa became her boss.

Hoping that the building hadn't closed yet, she ran with her seven centimeters high heels. When she entered the office back, she searched for her phone and found it lying on the desk. "That was close." She whispered.

THUD.

Han Seoyeon jolted from her place and turned her head toward Jung Hwa's office where the sound came from. Was he still in the office? She asked herself curiously but the room was deadly dark without a single light. As a person who hated dark the most, the dark room only brought bad premonition over her heart. Ten o'clock had passed and Han Seoyeon had thought the CEO had left then who was in the office?

"Perhaps it's a thief?" Saying it aloud, her eyes grew alarmed. She inched toward the door and pushed the door, having it burst out and entered the room when her eyes suddenly froze.

In between the dark, Jung Hwa's red eyes glowed. He wiped a trace of a trail from the corner of his lips and turned his face to see Han Seoyeon standing frozen at the spot. "You should knock first before entering my office, Secretary Han."
