Chapter 53 - Missing People

Han Seoyeon looked a little inside the bar from the door the man had opened. The place was dimmed and dark without lights making her wondered how the man could walk in and out without light. Not only the place is dark, there was something odd Han Seoyeon couldn't put her finger to. She wasn't fond of darkness but the one in particular from the bar made her felt the air inside was eerier.

"I wouldn't take a long time, I only have one question." said Han Seoyeon refusing to go inside politely. The man gave a hum she didn't know what it could meant and took his lack of words as a tacit assent.

Pulling her phone she searched for Wan Seulgi's picture and showed the picture of her and her friend she took not too long before, asking, "Have you see this girl on the right coming by here?"

The man stared at the picture for a long while, he rubbed his sharp chin thoughtfully trying to recall the woman in the picture. "Oh, yes! I do remember her. It was odd for a woman to come alone in a bar refusing any man's company so I did take a small note about her, her name if I was not wrong is, Wan... Wan Seulgi." he added from his memory

Han Seoyeon's eyes brightened up when she heard the man's words. "Yes! That is she. Did you know when the last time Seulgi came here sir?"

"Came here? Last night." the man said quickly that made Han Seoyeon to smile after finding out a clue to where her friend could be. "Did something happen to this customer, miss?" asked the man, his brown eyes looking curiously wondering why Han Seoyeon would search for the woman.

"She didn't come home after last night. Did she say anything before she left to where she would be going?"

The man shook his head, "But it was already ten or late eleven when she left, so I do think she would be going back straight home. She was very drunk at the time." This had Han Seoyeon knit a frown. She had thought she had received a new clue but as if someone had cut her current clue thread with a scissor, her smile dimmed.

"I see," she whispered beneath her breaths. Where could Wan Seulgi go after exiting the bar? She doubted the man would know anything more other than this as he stayed at the bar the entire time until it was closed.

"But this is surely worrying." The man murmured aloud to gain Han Seoyeon's eyes on him.

"Worrying?" she asked.

"Well you seem this isn't the first time for people to come knocking on my bar asking whether their acquaintance or family had dropped here. It seemed that they have gone missing. It was also the reason why I am still awake despite my bar being closed." The man informed.

"They? How many people have disappeared, sir?"

"I don't know... About fifteen people have come asking to my bar."

Fifteen?! Han Seoyeon eyes widened. "Do you know what happened to the people who have gone missing after that?".

"No, well they only leave me their contact number in case if I see their missing family and friends but unfortunately till now I see none."

That is worrying, Han Seoyeon thought. Could it be Wan Seulgi have now fall under the same category of missing people? She lips the inner of her cheeks, her face marred with worries as he heart felt unease.

"But this doesn't happen only to my bar!" The man interjected hurriedly before Han Seoyeon could suspect him. "You see, every bar in Myeondong is experiencing the same problem and it's really worrying." explained the man so Han Seoyeon wouldn't pegged him as the person behind the kidnapping.

"What about the police?" asked Han Seoyeon.

"They often patrol but there isn't any light in the case, I don't know much." His brown eyes stared at Han Seoyeon subtly. "May I have your phone number, miss?"

Han Seoyeon looked up at him and the man explained, "In case if I see your friend again, I will promise to touch in contact with you."

"Please," Han Seoyeon requested with a bow giving her phone number when the man passed his phone.

Taking his phone back to his hand, the man paused to form a slightly awkward smile, "It's weird to ask this now, but what is your name miss? I'm Beomgyu, Min Beomgyu." the man introduced his names first.

"Han Seoyeon, thank you for your help Mr. Beomgyu." appeared a smile on her face to thank the man who had helped her.

"You can call me without the honorifics we seem to be at the same age." Min Beomgyu said.

Min Beomgyu appeared to be friendly that it made her hard to not reject his words even though it was their first time meeting each other. Once Han Seoyeon left the place, Min Beomgy closed the door to his bar and hummed to himself, "She smells very odd."

Han Seoyeon rode her motorcycle across the road. Her eyes were kept on the road knowing how dangerous it would be if she led her eyes blank in the road. In her thought she couldn't help but worry that Wan Seulgi could be missing like all the people who had disappeared from Min Beomgyu's words. What may had happened?

Just then she recalled last night when Jung Hwa had talked with the black haired vampire named Deok Ji Hyeang. 'A case in Myeondong.'

"Perhaps it had something to do with the witch and vampires?" she whispered for her motorcycle to come at a stop once she reached back home.

It does make sense. Perhaps her friend had been involved in the case?

The more her head wrapped to the conclusion her heart went awry and her nerves jittery. She can't stand here any longer knowing her friend could be involve with vampires and witch. She had heard the gist from Jung Hwa and to her conclusion neither vampires nor witch cared about humans. In the fight that could involve humans, Wan Seulgi could perhaps be dragged.
