On another note, Lance might've thought that this momentous dialogue he had with Eli was also something that prompted him to start seeing her in a different light.
He had always perceived that she's one to cower in fear at the presence of her offenders - an exact opposite of the former Empress. There were times when he had witnessed her retreating by veiling her true emotions with an indifferent facade, and he somehow believed that it was a succint overview of her character as a whole.
But then, after their conversation in the library yesterday, the wind seemed to have started blowing to a different direction.
