Eli can't put her finger around it, but she can feel that something about Leah changed.
No matter what it is, though, she senses that it's a change for the better - a realization that makes her smile a little in relief. It has been a while since the brunette acts like this, beaming with her signature cheerfulness and initiating such an affectionate gesture.
"Leah, I'm glad to see you again," the ash-haired started again, still a bit surprised by how she embraced her all of the sudden.
"Yeah, me too. I was worried. You've been absent for days..." her classmate trailed off before pulling away and taking a look at her.
"How are your injuries, by the way? Do they still hurt?"
Then, she paused.
Eli falls silent the instant she mentions her wounds. It reminds her that Leah probably knows a lot by now - about her secret, the Champions and the summoned creatures.
