In line with everyone's plan to meet up after the sun goes down, Eli is now on her way back to school after personally asking for her parents' permission to stay for the night.
"Mom and Dad can be overprotective sometimes. They most probably won't let me go if I just called them on the phone..." she thought as she got readied to head out again, putting on her school shoes.
"What's more, I had to lie to them once more. Then again, they wouldn't believe me if I said the truth about us going ghost hunting. They might even think that I'm just goofing around."
Now that she recalled their conversation minutes ago, she remembered noticing how her parents seemed to perk up when she mentioned her friends. They looked a little relieved and delighted for some reason, and she assumed that it could only be because it's her first time telling them about Hal and the others.
