Too driven by his worry that Persephone inflicted some serious injury on her, Hal doesn't realize how misleading their position will turn out to be when he stoops his head low and starts staring at Eli's chest intently.
He absolutely forgot the fact that it's inappropriate to look at a girl's body part like that - with his eyes squinting a little as if using a magnifying glass, to boot.
She ends up blushing the moment he makes this gesture, her body stiffening in flummox. This gets him snapping out of his impetuous way of doing things. With that, he looks back at her once more.
"Eli...?" Hal blurted out in puzzlement.
"Hal, you..." Eli trailed off before abruptly stretching her arms forward and pushing his face away all of the sudden.
"You pervert!"
