For some reason, instead of feeling heavy for disclosing everything Eli had hidden and lied about, her chest feels a lot lighter than before.
Perhaps, it's because everyone seems to be understanding of her. No one uttered a word the entire time she was confessing. They all remained silent and continued to listen attentively.
"I'm very, very sorry. It's a serious matter, I know. Now that I can't connect with Venus anymore, I finally understand how big of a deal this whole thing is," Eli said for the last time, lowering her head a little in shame and remorse.
Once more, silence only sprawls in their midst. Everyone takes time to let her confession settle in. Though she explained everything clearly, it still took a few more minutes to decipher them completely.
As if the whole 'sharing one body' fiasco isn't enough to befuddle them, this new conundrum really has to crop up out of nowhere.
