It a lively meal and Zhang Wang was relieved that Sikong Ren was acting more normal as the night went on. Nothing too heated struck up between the Master of the Strays and the demon king so Zhang Wang took that as a win in on itself.

The reason for Sikong Ren's foul mood and recent trip was actually due to Sikong Yong's disappearance in the first place. Apparently, the strange man had suddenly upped and left which struck a curious urge in Sikong Ren.
The Master of the Strays chose to follow his uncle then.
Zhang Wang didn't blame him, he probably would have done the same out of curiosity alone.
But after the Master of the Strays tailed his uncle for nothing short of several days, it turned out that the entire endeavour would end up as wasted effort.
