Yu Xinen was in her office when she was assaulted with light and sound. She had shrugged it off at first, her troops were chaotic after all. Despite the dim light she was engrossed in the essay slowly unfolding under her brush. Demons did not put much value in books and scriptures but she found that there was power in records and knowledge.
But just when she thought the riot outside her window would subside, it only stirred further, until the flashing lights devoured the words beneath her brush. The shouting and laughing was eclipsed with an explosion. What were these fools doing?
Slamming down her brush against the block of ink, Yu Xinen rose to her full height. She stormed out of the room. From the tower, she could spot the golden glimmer that lit the night sky. A heroic young master dueled against a mighty tiger. Yu Xinen scowled in distaste. She drew in a breath before booming over the entire fortress.
