It might seem like a ridiculous tactic but it was at the advice of the Cruel White King himself so there must be some glimmer of truth to the words, right…?
Gao Tong's lips curved gleefully as a sharp squealing sound left the general's mouth as he slapped frantically at the offending spiders. So they really did have an effect! Gao Tong grinned, taking advantage of the situation to make a break for it, perhaps lead the General on a chase to buy time like he was supposed to.
That thought was quickly extinguished when Zhu Huleng practically blinked into existence right in front of Gao Tong. The horned demon felt his breath catch in his lungs as confusion saturated his mind. Adrenaline kicked in. Gao Tong was nimble and he was quick as well, with focus and fright assaulting his awareness he expertly dodged the dagger-axe that thrust toward his head.
