Shizun snapped the arrow in his hand but whatever power the thing was imbued with had already eaten into his skin, scorching the surface of his palm and left it bloody. If Shizun cared, it did not show on his face. In fact, he lazily inspected the wound as though it were a mere curiosity.
Xuxu stood at his Shizun's side and waited. But when the man made no moves of doing anything, the boy grew impatient, "Aren't you going to take care of it?" Xuxu was looking at Shizun's wound and then eyed the darkness in the distance, from where the arrow had attacked them from.
Shizun scoffed and shook his head, "And give that bastard what he wants? No, I'm not that stupid. Let's go back and rest, we'll leave this place in the morning."
