As they sat at the restaurant dining on their meals. They had a pleasant conversation with each other. "So, what have you been up to since you got here?" Mia asked.
"Oh, this and that." Karl answered. "I am a spy for Morain. So that's interesting."
"Oh, really she made you a spy?" Mia questioned.
"Yes, I am a human male after all." Karl replied. "Unlike Edward who is known throughout the kingdom as the traitor king, I am just a random nobody. The fact I am a man grants me unrestricted access."
"What have you found out?" Lucell asked. He was now curious as well.
"It is bad." Karl explained. "They are rounding up every criminal they can find, of course that's mainly women. After they round them up, they have public executions where they extract their souls. I am quite sure that's what they are using to mass produce the holy swords."
