Chapter 9 - Husband to help(1)

Zila said and pushed Kay forward and ran towards the bathroom.

She went to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked distressed and pitiful. Her usually beautiful eyes had turned red from crying all the time, and she looked horrible.

"What did I even do to deserve this? Why do I have to meet this man again? Why do I have such a cruel and horrible husband? Why can't I live a proper, happy life?" She asked herself.

"I can't work with this psychopath. I need to leave. I'll write my resignation letter and submit it to the HR department. I'll pack my things and leave. That's the best thing to do." She thought.

She wiped her tears and put on some mascara and some eye makeup to hide her puffy eyes.

She left, heading straight to the office room.

She opened the door only to find Kay fully focused on his work. She quickly went over to her desk to write her resignation letter.

Kay didn't notice what was going on and continued working.

It was only when he came over to get him some coffee that he noticed what she was doing.

Before he opened his mouth to speak, Zila stopped him.

"Stop. Kay, I've had enough. I don't want to hear any of your pathetic excuses. Nothing's going to change my decision."

Kay sighed and looked at her with pleading eyes, clearly sorry for everything he did but she didn't care and started working.

Kay sighed.

It was all his fault. And he coudn't do anything about it.

Thinking about all this, a little sob escaped her mouth as she glanced at Kay who seemed busy at the moment, so he hadn't noticed her crying. She sighed in relief.

After sometime the car finally came to a halt in front of Zila's home and just when she was about to exit, Kay pressed a button on his car keys, and the door immediately locked. Zila glared at him

But he said ignoring the continuous glare she was giving him.

"Don't ever go out on dates again with anyone except me, and don't wear these types of clothes again. You got it?"

Zila rolled her eyes, "What? Who gave you the right to tell me this? I can do whatever I want, whenever I want it. So, open the door right now!"

She yelled at him, quite pissed. What was she? His slave?

She was already angry from listening to this, and her rage only increased by the minute. Kay noticed it and pressed another car door which unlocked the car door. He opened the car door for her and looked back at her.

"If you ever wear these types of clothes again, and if anyone looks at you, they're in big trouble. I'm your boss, so clearly, I also have power over both you and them. So don't you dare try to challenge me."

When she was just about to say something Kay immediately interrupted her.

"Your brother will probably already be waiting for you. I think you should go now."

She gave him one last death glare before finally exiting the car.

She adjusted her clothes and looked back at Kay before storming towards the house.

Zila was in a horrible mood. Something that vastly improved whenever she saw her brother and sister-in-law.

Kay chuckled. Zila could be so childish sometimes.

He finally started his car and finally left.

Zila, on the other hand, went inside the house, happy she could finally go to a place she didn't have to worry about Kay popping up at. She was about to open her room door before she remembered that her brother and sister-in-law would probably be waiting for her and that she would have to answer their plethora of questions.

She sighed and opened the door, bracing herself for the slightly brutal impact which was her brother and sister's questions.

When she opened the door, her sister-in-law was sitting on the sofa, typing on her laptop while waiting for her to come back.

She always was the motherly figure for Zila.

That's why Zila always respected her and did whatever her sister asked her to do. She was the best sister-in-law Zila could ask for.

Zila approached her sister.

"Hey sis. How are you while I wasn't here?"

She was in her train of thought, massaging her temples while sighing.

When Zila greeted her and she looked up and her small frown had turned into a smile.

"Oh! Zila, you're back. I'm doing just fine."

"Yes. I am, and you're doing fine, that's great."

Zila was just about to tell her everything when she stopped herself. But she didn't know that her sister-in-law had already known.

"I know about everything already. You go and lie down, get some rest. This happens all the time, It's normal. I was expecting that."

"Okay. Thanks sis. Thanks for understanding."

She just nodded her head and continued doing her work. Zila ran towards her sister and gave her a hug before heading towards her room.

Her sister just smiled and shook her head, Zila had always been the more childish one.

Zila went to her room and the tears that she had held in for the longest time immediately started pouring.

She plopped on her bed and started to cry her heart out.

Her crying was all Kay's fault, and he didn't even know she was causing her pain.

Zila sobbed, tears falling from her face as she tried to stop crying.

After crying for some time, she finally got up from the bed and took a long warm shower which calmed her down.

She slipped in her pajamas when she exited the shower.

She saw her sister-in-law already sitting on the bed waiting for her. She was confused as to why she came here in the first place, but she approached her and sat down with her on the bed.

"Ah. Is there anything you need sis?"

"Yeah." She replied.

"What is it that you need to talk about?"

"Do you mind living all alone?"

"Why are you asking me such questions?"

"I just wanted to make sure that you want to marry again willingly or not? You're not forcing yourself just because of me right? I mean you don't have to."

"No of course not sis. I don't have to live with you and brother all my life. I'll willingly get married, don't worry."

"Don't worry everything will get better."

She said and hugged Zila. Zila also smiled and hugged her back.

"Ok, you've got to sleep now. I will get going."

"Ok. Goodnight sis."

"Goodnight Zila."

She then left and Zila again started to cry. She always wanted to be with Kay but now she has to marry someone else.

Thinking about this, she felt burdened and eventually crying to sleep.

Kay had arrived home and was quite tired. He had parked his car in the parking area of his mansion and went inside.

When he opened the door of his house, he went straight to his room. But he noticed his door open ajar in the house.

He adjusted his eyes to the light and when he saw the person in front of him, his eyes felt raw with rage and anger.

He couldn't think straight, he fisted his hands and his jaw clenched and unclenched. He was very close to killing the person in front of him.

Suddenly the person spoke breaking the silence in her shrill voice.

"Kay! I wanted to tell you something, so I came here."

"Get out of here. I don't want to see you ever again."

"Kay! Just listen to me. I love you. I still do and always will. If that bitch hadn't come and ruined our relationship, we'd still be together.

"Shut up! Don't you dare say anything to her with your filthy mouth. She is better than you in every way possible and you know that I still love her."

Before she could open her mouth to reply, Kay snapped his fingers.

"Get out of my house. Guards!"

Despite all her pleas, Kay ignored her and the guards had arrived.

He ordered them, "Throw this crazy woman out of this house. Don't let her in here ever again."

"No Kay! Don't do this to me. I only was ever lotal to you."

"You're lucky that I am merely throwing you out of the house. What you did to her was unforgivable. I would have killed you."

"I... You knew."

"You're lucky you're still my cousin, if not I would have killed you a long time ago. Now get out of my sight before I changed my mind."

"Nooooo!" She screamed as the guards dragged her outside.

As of now, she was still pleading with Kay, not knowing it was only making everything even worse.

"Look. I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just that I was jealous."

Kay said "But you did. You harmed me, and I hate you for this. "

She was dragged by the men in black afterwards and Kay juat went to his bed quite tired because of the situation.

Zila was lying on her bed when her mind started to wander off and she begun to think of the time when Kay used to protect her.

Q) What do you think Kay will do now?

A) He will get angry at Zila.

B) He will come and take Zila with him and pamper her.

C) He will not do anything and will just stay like this.
