"Just, please, stay where you are." Elliot raised his hand, unable to look at her in the eyes. A deep surge of fire roared inside him, but he had to calm down, not just for her sake. "I'm sure you had your reasons."
He stole a glance, and it was but a sharp pang aimed at his heart. All of them knew whenever Elliot had a goal in mind, and he would rather remain silent and trust within his capabilities; that was what he was. The moment he asked a favor usually entailed how important it was to him, which didn't come by ever so often.
But even then, Elliot wouldn't disclose the full information of the objective he had in mind as he didn't want to make false promises. Until he achieved, it would be the time he would tell those who he asked for help.
At first, it was a delirious request of him, but his background and reputation saved him most of the time that his members gave it a shot. It was a success at the end of the day; since then, they noticed his behavior.
