"What kind of fool puts out a fire with clothes?" Andrew asked, shaking his head in disbelief. The man had his cheeks blackened by smoke, but the look on his face showed how proud he was to be the hero who saved the dayโthe paintings.
He had come by chance, wanting to see the condition of the Alpha and Luna, only to find the room on fire. If not for Andrew, everything in this room would have turned to ashes, and Luke would once again go into a coma.
When the barrier was completely broken by the fire, it quickly spread further into the room, eating all the furniture and paintings in sight. The more it burned, the more money was lost. It was the first time I'd ever seen Luke so panicked. He wasn't even like this when we were fighting the puppets in the village or when the snakes' poison took effect.
