You won't believe it until you see it for yourself. That is what magic is. You can make an object float with the flick of your finger, or you can create something completely out of nothing with a weird combination of words called "magic spells." Such a thing exists in the world, yet only a few are blessed with the ability to perform it. It is convenient, but hard to master.
I also never truly believed in the existence of magic or dark creatures, despite all the stories that people often told one another. I mean, a man who can transform into a werewolf? A blood-sucking man and flying brooms? It was so bizarre that it was difficult to believe, even if it was my mother who told me so. I half-believed her stories until I met Luke—until I became a witch myself.
