Just how on earth… did they manage to go up and down these stairs every day?
It didn't look like a lot, but when you stepped on the stairs and reached midway, new stairways came up magically, leading us further away from the first floor. It was an enchanted staircase, made to convince those on their curiosity quest to return down the stairs after nearly losing their breath climbing up.
It has been approximately twenty minutes since we climbed up the stairs, and I feel like I'm going to throw up, pee myself, and cry all at the same time.
"It's… preventive measures," Betty said when she noticed me on the verge of fainting. With all the nerves I've gotten from the beeping device and this, fainting would be an understatement.
"Do you need some help? I can carry you on my back," Luke offered, looking in perfect health as if he was taking a stroll in the garden. Not a surprising sight. It would only be a surprise if he looked bad.
