"What do you think happened back there?" I asked Elliot, who was currently reading the book we found on the table. He'd occasionally chuckle and shake his head, seemingly amused by whatever was written inside.
"Well, clearly not something normal," he said, chuckling again as he held up the book towards me. "Do you believe it? According to this book, the white witches were moved by the wisdom of the priests, hence why they decided to offer their services to the church!" The more he read, the more he laughed. "Oh, whoever made this has such a great sense of humor!"
"Funnily enough, I don't think it's meant to be funny."
I sighed and rested my head on the table, still feeling the nauseousness lingering in my stomach. What exactly did she do back there? Why did she bleed herself, and how did she become stronger after she did so? Is this another trick the black witches have planned for when they return?
