It's been two days.
Two days of restlessness, two days of me going insane. She's still lying unconscious, her skin burning still. I've called all of the best doctors across the land to check on her, just in case something was wrong with her body and not her magic. None of them helps.
"Have you heard about the story?" Andrew asked as I massaged my throbbing head, annoying me every time he came into the room.
"What?"
"The story of the lady of east Gordom. She was said to have been cursed to sleep for hundreds of years, but then woke up after receiving a kiss from her husband, who left for the Great War. Maybe—" I scowled.
If it were that easy, I'd have kissed her hundreds—no, thousands—of times. I'd do anything.
