Maya's POV
Architect Ryan canceled our supposed date due to the presence of my ex-boyfriend. I am not sure what they discussed since Adonis stayed at Ryan's office the entire afternoon. My boss texted me, and he asked for an apology that he couldn't make it to come with me, and I felt so relieved. I know seeing Adonis at our office unannounced surprised me. I was furious because I am not prepared to face him this afternoon. The bouquet he gave me made me so angry, and I hate myself that he caught me staring at his handsome face.
