As Ben contemplated giving his mother a call, a knock sounded on his door, and he had no doubt it was Joan and Drake.
Since the last time they had that argument, things had become somewhat stiff between them, and the only time they communicated was early in the morning when Joan came to fix his makeup.
He couldn't say he particularly missed having them around anyway since Joan was more of Bella's friend than his, and she wasn't someone he hung out with often, and even though he got along pretty well with Drake, Drake was someone he communicated with more over the phone than physically because of distance.
He was content with chatting with Nicole all day and staying back in his room alone at night surfing the net, playing games on his tablet or doing whatever else caught his interest.
