Bella was grateful that Dan had gone ahead of her to the car. Now she could find a way to get to the car without giving herself away. She slowly made her way outside the building and looked around when she didn't see any sign of Dan or the car.
"I guess it's your shoe? It is undersized, I suppose?" Dan asked from behind her, startling her.
"What? You thought I forgot I asked you to walk ahead of me?" Dan asked with a raised brow and shook his head when Bella simply looked away in embarrassment.
"How long do I have before my next meeting?" He asked, glancing at his wristwatch.
"About two hours since it was assumed that you would remain till the end of the event," Bella said and almost sighed in relief when Zach pulled up the car in front of them.
"Okay then. You can go with Zach to get yourself some new clothes and shoes. Get something for your leg. I'm sure you must have blisters by now," Dan said, cocking his head for her to get into the car.
