Ralph didn't smile at her words. He was supposed to feel happy with her confession but he could see the literal conflict in her eyes. His lips pressed together to say something but nothing came out. Jasmine took a step forward, her voice cracking as she said,
" But...I won't be there to see that unfortunately.."
She laughed between her tears, letting it fall down. This time, the stone cold hearted demon king had some reaction. His shoulders became stiff, his chest became stuffy as if the weight of the whole world had been dropped on his shoulders. He was too silent, silent for the whole world.
Ralph remembered the proud voice of his grandfather. Once, he told that if he became the demon king, he could get anything from all the realms. Then why couldn't he get the woman that he loved? Was really power weak against love?
