Qi Hui looked serious. He paused before turning to look at Zhao Lian. "Prof Zhao, you specialize in Genetic Engineering research. Don't you want us to make a breakthrough in this subject?"
Zhao Lian put down the application form. He rubbed his throbbing forehead before he shook his head firmly.
"Stop thinking about using the funds from Bioinformatics to fund your project. I will never allow it. I will do my best to talk to Prof Liu about it and see if funds can be taken from somewhere else."
But Qi Hui refused to give in. "The Bioinformatics division has made no contribution. Why should we waste funds on them? Prof Zhao, don't you think you are being unfair? I suggest that we stop assigning them any funds from now on."
Zhao Lian knew Qi Hui always had a grudge against the Bioinformatics division, but he did not want to get involved in it. "I don't want to hear about this. I will not get drawn into your feud."
