Chapter 5 - Don't touch him!

Since Gabby's arrival at school, Elizabeth felt threatened by her presence. Almost every day she saw her flirt or talk to Michael. Feeling desperate, she finally decided to ask for help from her older brother who happened to also attend the same school as her.

"Brother, I like Michael." Elizabeth suddenly exclaimed, her eyes looking down at the street, avoiding her brother's confused gaze.

"Huh? Michael who?" Felix's foot unintentionally slammed on the brakes, "Don't tell me that beautiful Michael?"

Elizabeth rolled her eyes as she replied, "Hey! Don't insult Michael in front of me! Or I will report to Mom that you always smoke every day at school!"

Felix sighed and then asked in an irritated voice, "Then what do you want me to do?"

"Yes, I want you to help me so I can date Michael." Elizabeth said, playing the ends of her hair and looking at Felix expectantly.

-

When leaving the bathroom, Michael was blocked by several of his seniors. Their tops were not tucked into their pants, their sleeves rolled up that almost showed their armpit hair which caused Michael to feel disgusted.

"You're the guy Elizabeth meant, huh?" Asked the big man, raising his right eyebrow.

"How can Elizabeth like you? You have a beautiful face, you're skinny as a beanpole, as if you are boneless."

Standing in front of Michael made Felix feel proud of his own figure. His big body looked gigantic in front of the boy who looked like he had no fat. He thanked his effort for always hitting the gym on Saturday and Sunday.

If his sister didn't like him, maybe Felix would kill Michael right away.

"It's up to me who I want to like! Don't hurt him!" Elizabeth's voice walked closer to them, "I just want him to be my boyfriend."

-

Gabby stretched her legs and walked down the school corridors when she heard Elizabeth's scream from a distance. She stopped halfway and turned to look at the source of the sound.

'Wow, there's a spectacle.' Gabby thought to herself.

Following the source of the sound, Gabby found herself walking toward the boys' bathroom. Suddenly, the name Michelle was heard from a distance which made Gabby immediately stop her path.

'Are there girls being bullied in the boys' restroom?' Gabby was curious.

"Hey, listen to me Michelle! I don't care what you feel, all you have to do is go out with Elizabeth. Otherwise..."

Not finished with his threat, Elizabeth's voice cut the man's deep voice, "Brother, I told you not to insult Michael in front of me!"

"Ouch! Sure sure!" The man grinned, "As long as you go out with Elizabeth I will let you go." He turned to glare at Michael.

Gabby continued walking and found Michael was rounded by the seniors. Michael's body looked very small compared to them. People might think that Michael was a middle school student.

Gabby saw that among the group of men was Elizabeth who was standing by the door to the men's room, her hands folded over her chest, "I'll go first, then. Just watch. I don't want to see a wound on Michael's face." Elizabeth demanded.

Hearing Elizabeth's voice made Gabby feel sick.

After seeing Elizabeth leave, the group of teenage boys looked at each other and gave Michael a creepy smile. Without further ado, one of them pushed Michael hard against the wall. His small, thin body that was only skin and bones instantly bounced back.

Gabby's feet immediately walked towards them while clenching her fists, "Stop!" She shouted in a loud voice.

Hearing Gabby's voice suddenly made the group of teenagers stop and look back with a weird grin. Their grin grew bigger when they saw a woman standing behind them.

Ignoring Gabby, they turned their gaze back to Michael and grabbed his collar. Gabby snorted in annoyance and said in a cold voice, "I said stop! Let him go!"

The big boy turned his head towards Gabby, grinned widely and said, "What would you do if I don't stop, huh?" He withdrew his hand from Michael's collar and tucked it into his pocket.

"I'll finish you all." Gabby said casually, shrugging her shoulders.

The group of teenagers burst out laughing and gave Gabby a scornful look. The big boy raised his hand, motioning his friends to stop laughing.

"You? Finishing us?" Asked the teenager as he rolled his sleeve, "Your cute body wants to finish us all?"

Indeed, Gabby was half their size, so it was only natural that she felt a little scared. However, it hurt her heart more when she saw Michael's frightened face.

"Yes, I'll finish you all." Gabby sighed, clenched her fists tighter and said, "Let him go, because I'm the only one who can touch Michael's pretty face."

Hearing Gabby's words should have offended Michael, but somehow he felt his cheeks turn hot. Michael looked at Gabby and found Gabby had seen him earlier, faint blushes began to fill his face.

"Listen, sweetheart. Leave now before my patience runs out!" Felix tilted his chin toward the exit.

Gabby laughed out loud at Felix's words. She then took a step forward, and said in a cold voice, "Let Michael go before I break your hand."

The group of teenagers looked at each other and laughed, "Break what? Your hand is as small as a stick you know..."

Not finished talking, Gabby immediately threw a kick into Felix's stomach, the kick hit the gut causing the big man to fall down while holding his stomach.

While at home, Gabby often watched videos of self-defense techniques just in case. After seeing the videos Gabby immediately followed the movements shown in the video, training her skill even if it was just with a large teddy bear that her father gave her when she was thirteen years old.

Seeing Felix grimaces in pain on the bathroom floor, Gabby clapped twice and looked at Felix's friends, "So, who wants to come next?"

One of them was about to charge forward but Felix's hand stopped him. The man then helped Felix to his feet. Felix's face was red with pain, "Let's just let it go, I deliberately let her win."

Gabby rolled her eyes at the words.

A group of teenagers left Gabby and Michael alone in the bathroom. Gabby looked at Michael who was still looking frightened, grabbed his hand and asked, "Hey, are you okay?"

Michael nodded his head, "Thanks."

"Hmm." Relieved to hear Michael's answer, Gabby turned around, and wanted to walk back to class but Michael suddenly grabbed Gabby's wrist, "Where are you going?"

"To the class! Breaktime is almost over." Gabby replied, removing Michael's hand from her wrist.

Seeing Gabby trying to remove the grip of his hand made Michael tighten his grip, his face flushed and then said, "To the cafeteria for a moment, I want to buy you some food." Realizing that his request was too much, Michael added, "...As a thank you!"

Gabby paused for a moment then nodded her head. Michael smiled at Gabby's answer and then let go of his grip.

-

During the trip to the cafeteria, Michael couldn't stop thinking about how cool Gabby looked before him. Michael's eyes darted to where Gabby was standing and immediately averted his gaze when Gabby realized it.

"What are you looking at?!" Gabby asked, frowning.

Michael didn't answer and walked faster leaving Gabby.

Arriving at the cafeteria, Michael told Gabby to sit down and let him buy the food. Michael ordered fried rice and iced tea and sat down across from Gabby.

"Thank you for helping me earlier." Michael said. He hoped Gabby wouldn't hear his loud heartbeat.

"Hmm, why don't you dare to fight back? If I didn't see it earlier, maybe you're in the hospital now!" Gabby replied irritably.

Michael just smiled slightly at Gabby and suddenly remembered something, "Hey, you haven't apologized to me, you know about the window in my house." Michael teased.

Remembering that made Gabby let out a small sigh, "Ah, yeah about that. I don't think I'm wrong." She snapped, folding her arms across her chest.

Hearing Gabby's answer made Michael laugh out loud, "Whatever."

Not long after, Michael's order arrived at their table. Seeing that there was only one plate and one glass made Gabby wonder, "Where's yours?"

Michael looked away and replied, "I'm full, you just eat."

Gabby took her plate and inhaled the smell of fried rice in front of her and tried not to drool.

"Heh! No wonder your body is only made of bones, there's no fat at all." Gabby scoffed, showing her tongue.
