After the conversation between Anna and Devan that morning, the two of them became strangers again, acting as if nothing had ever happened between them.
Both agreed to forget the events of five years ago.
In the following days both Anna and Devan saw each other very rarely, even though they were in the same house. Either it was Devan who didn't come home until Anna came back, or it was the man who only came home to change clothes and then left again.
Never once did the two meet face to face let alone speak.
This morning, Anna left a little later than usual. Maybe because she was not feeling well, her head was throbbing in pain even though she had taken the medicine, even so, she still forced herself to go to work, after all, she would finish all her work and then go home early to rest.
