Emma almost fainted again once she heard the news.
"I'M WHAT?!" She yelled as she leapt out of bed.
"Lil. Please, tell me you're joking. Please. This can't be happening!" Emma exclaimed as she was on the brink of hyperventilating.
Lily stayed silent, staring at her best friend.
This was all the confirmation Emma needed to know this wasn't a joke.
"How am I going to tell James?" She croaked through tears.
"I love James. Not Adam. I don't want anything to do with him. He's a cocky arse that doesn't know how to treat a lady right," Emma admitted.
Lily patted Emma's back.
"Em, there's a high chance any plans of you and Adam getting married will be delayed. Especially since you're still mourning the loss of your mother. You still have time to tell James, or better yet, put a stop to any possibilities of an arranged marriage," Lily said, being the voice of reason in such a dark time in Emma's life.
Emma nodded.
